This location is perfect. The ambiance is relaxing and the service is top notch. Hours may vary so please google before planing a visit. While visiting you will see lots of people just coming in for a slice of pie. This location is definitely a hidden gem with clean restrooms and plenty of space for gatherings. Food is fresh and platted well. All the employees are hands on and are available to help you if you have any questions. Worth the stop!

Classic American diner that happens to have a focus on pie. Showed up on a weekend afternoon when they were quite empty and somewhat oddly, out of the fresh peach pie they were advertising everywhere. Banana cream pie is very standard, a bit sweet but not overly sweet by American standards, and service was quick and efficient. They have parking too, which is nice.

I love the pies here! Never disappointed Ok I'm 67 now I remember coming here with my Dad as a kid to pick up pies for Thanksgiving when I was a teenager Back then it was a real treat Now I like to swing by a grab a pie when ever I'm in the neighborhood I recommend The Banana Cream Or Coconut Cream

I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and although I live a bit farther from Heidi's now, it is the one place I have to make a stop at for their delicious pies. They have a wide variety of pies but my personal favorites are the peanut butter pie as well as the banana cream pie. The pies themselves are a bit pricey, but are worth it every single time. They are consistent and always fresh. (Side note: The "24 hour" sign outside the diner is not accurate as they have specified hours listed online)

In this chaotic and unpredictable world we live in today, it's nice to toss in a sprinkle of frivolity. For me, that means pies. Though I haven't tried their meals lately, I can attest to their pies, which are really pretty good. I like their classic apple and custard pies. Simple. Nothing fancy. Just good old skool pies. Not much has changed from what I remembered about their pies, except the price. It was over $9.00 and some odd cents for ONE slice of apple pie. It really wasn't so long ago when you could get an entire pie for just a few dollars more. The ambiance hasn't changed one bit though. It's total throwback, with the exception of a new carpet (or maybe newly cleaned carpet, lol). My fave are the classic aqua blue counter seats. The older lady servers seem to have been working there for a long time. They're nice, as is the overall service.

For about two decades now (Whoops, am I dating myself here again?), Heidi's Pies Restaurant has been our go-to place for buying pies. They are hands down the best pie makers in the San Francisco Bay Area, even better than Marie Callender's, in my opinion. Heidi's Pies is located on El Camino Real, conveniently nearby the California State Route 92. With its tall yellow sign, the restaurant is easy to find on the street and parking is usually available in the lot. Inside, the venue is standard diner atmosphere with counter and table seating. Long gone are the 24 hours of operation and even the late-night hours (They should really update their website because they are not "open 365 days a year," either), but you can still come in for any meal of the day (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER, and/or DESSERT). The plates are standard diner taste and quality. At any diner, I almost always go straight for the Country Fried Steak and Heidi's version does not disappoint (though, could be a little crispier). Like I said before, their pies are the stars of the place. Some of our favourites are their Blueberry, Chocolate Cream, and Pumpkin. Table and counter service are good. Call them on the phone, though, and you will likely be taken aback by their abrupt and borderline rude communications. Don't hold your breath for a response if you send them a message via their website - I recommend that you email scott@heidispies.com directly instead. No pre-orders for pies accepted, not even during the holidays - first come, first served only. For these reasons, I cannot give a five-star rating, unfortunately.

WHEN: Sun @9:30pm Firstly, ignore the huge OPEN 24 HOURS sign, cuz it's not. We came here around 9:30am for desert and was seated at a table only to learn they were no longer serving and we had to do take-out. I've been here before and didn't like it but willing to give it a second try: FRESH STRAWBERRY - $8.59 Lots of strawberries covered in a super sweet glaze that tasted like candy. I think 80% of the sweetness comes from that haha. BANANA CRÈME - $7.99 Okay much better than my first time, this was pretty good! I'm glad I gave it another shot and see NOW what the hype is all about with the pies.
